Privacy Policy
WTD is a native app for macOS, iPhone, and iPad that brings Google Calendar and Google Tasks into one focused view. This policy explains exactly what Google user data WTD accesses and how it is used.
Short version: WTD connects directly to Google from the app on your device. Calendar events and tasks are used only to provide the app's core features and are not used for advertising, analytics, or any unrelated purpose.
- App name
- WTD
- App description
- A native app for macOS, iPhone, and iPad that shows Google Calendar events and Google Tasks together, allowing users to view, add, complete, and manage them without switching apps.
1. Data Accessed
WTD accesses the following Google user data after you sign in and grant permission:
- Basic account information: your Google account email address and display name, used to identify and display the signed-in account.
- Google Calendar: read and write access to calendar events, including the ability to create, view, edit, and delete events.
- Google Tasks: read and write access to task lists and tasks, including the ability to create, view, complete, edit due dates, and delete tasks.
2. Data Usage
The Google user data accessed by WTD is used solely to provide the app's core functionality:
- Identify and display the currently signed-in Google account.
- Display calendar events and tasks in WTD's focused daily, monthly, and upcoming views.
- Allow users to quickly add new Google Tasks or Google Calendar events.
- Allow users to mark Google Tasks as complete or incomplete.
- Allow users to change task due dates and event dates or times.
- Allow users to delete tasks or events.
No Google user data is used for advertising, analytics, profiling, model training, or any purpose beyond WTD's core app functionality.
3. Data Sharing
WTD does not share Google user data with third parties. Google Calendar and Google Tasks data remains between the user's Google account and the WTD app running locally on the user's device.
WTD does not sell, rent, disclose, or transfer Google user data to advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or any other third party.
4. Data Storage & Protection
WTD does not store Google Calendar events or Google Tasks data on external or third-party servers. Calendar and task data is fetched directly from Google's servers through official Google APIs and is held temporarily in the app while it is running.
WTD communicates with Google APIs over HTTPS. Google OAuth tokens used to keep you signed in are stored securely in Keychain or the operating system's secure credential storage and are used only to authenticate requests to Google Calendar and Google Tasks.
WTD may store non-content app preferences locally on your device, such as language settings, task color choices associated with Google task identifiers, the selected Google Tasks list identifier, and trial or purchase state. These preferences are not uploaded to WTD servers.
WTD does not operate a backend server for processing, storing, or syncing Google Calendar or Google Tasks content.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
WTD does not persist Google Calendar events or Google Tasks content beyond the current app session. Calendar and task data is refreshed from Google and remains the source of truth.
To revoke WTD's access to your Google data at any time:
- Go to your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access.
- Find WTD and click "Remove Access".
After access is removed, WTD can no longer access your Google Calendar or Google Tasks data. Any temporary calendar or task content held in memory is cleared when the app is closed or signed out.
Locally stored app preferences may remain on the device until the app is deleted. Purchase records are retained by Apple according to Apple's policies so purchases can be verified or restored.
You can also manage connected apps directly from Google Account Permissions.
Google API Services User Data Policy
WTD's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
WTD only requests the Google OAuth scopes necessary to provide Calendar and Tasks functionality, and does not use Google user data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or training machine learning or AI models.
Purchases
WTD purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. WTD does not handle or store payment card details.
WTD uses Apple StoreKit to check whether Lifetime Unlock is active and to restore purchases. Google Calendar and Google Tasks data is not used for payment processing.
